At Home Kits

So I am around 3 years TTC now and it will be coming up to 1 year of my diagnosis of Endometriosis in a couple of months.

I am still not pregnant but I do feel like my periods are not as painful anymore so I'm hoping that's a sign I'm doing something right!

I really would prefer not to do IVF just because it is so expensive and the stress I feel like I would feel, especially when stress is not good for getting pregnant, however, I do feel like I'm running out of options.

My next option is to try an at home kit and see if that will get me anywhere.  I haven't fully decided which one but there are artificial insemination kits that you can try at home.  Another thing that I have only just come across recently is a sperm cup.  Basically it holds the sperm against your uterus in order to try and help it get where it is supposed to be.  It looks exactly like a menstrual cup only shallow.  I did read about people saying they have used a menstrual cup in the same way and it has worked for them.  I think I will try the proper sperm cup though since it is shallower so I feel like it will get the sperm closer than a menstrual cup and I need all the help I can get.

I also haven't tried any liquids yet that are supposed to help your mucus be more habitable for sperm.  That I think I will also try since there are instances that your immune system causes your body to kill off sperm.  Since endometriosis can affect your immune system (I have no idea if there is any connection between the two, just me speculating) I'm wondering if that will help.  So there are kits with both the sperm cup and fertility gel so that's what I'm looking at.  I haven't decided which brand I am getting yet so I will do a part 2 of this post to let you know.  I'm going to research them a bit more and see which has the best reviews.  I will not be ordering it however until I get my next period, just in case I get lucky this month. 😊
